(1) CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS): Design must be compatible with a commercially available off the shelf CMS, or freely available content management system. We currently use Wordpress as our CMS standard. If a new CMS is chosen, it must be able to be hosted on a shared server platform, Linux or Windows. Any change to the CMS will require our approval.
(2) 3RD PARTY TOOL INTEGRATION: We currently leverage a donor management system from Blackbaud /Kintera which is hosted separately from the main website, but presents the same look and feel as main website. The Designer will be responsible for ensuring the design is compatible with and integrated into the Blackbaud/Kintera site. As the design style sheet or “shell” must be able to be integrated into the Blackbaud/Kintera site, access to the Blackbaud/Kintera portal will be provided by us to the designer.
(3) OUTREACH COMMUNICATIONS: The new website must support diverse communications strategies which include, but are not limited to, Web 2.0 and social media tools, press releases, email announcements and still/moving image hosting.
