Vendor needs to provide campaign advertising and creative services.
- Campaign Needs strategic messaging that creates strong, consistent communication from internal
sources including academic leaders, gift officers, and communications teams across campus, messaging that highlights campaign priorities with specific emphasis on stories of impact as told by students, targeted marketing (soft message and call to action) to top 20,000 major donor prospects, the goal is for all major donor prospects understand how their gifts will make an impact, comprehensive creative and strategic support throughout campaign lifecycle – research, strategy, deliverables, measurable results from silent phase to public launch to thank you/stewardship, event strategy and creative for public launch, public thank you event, and other events throughout the campaign, content strategy and execution that helps elevate all state development
communications to best-in-class, messaging toolkit for gift officers.
- Research, Discovery and Brand Alignment to conduct interviews with top donors/volunteers to gain insights on their motivations for giving, university brand perception, aspirations for university, social influencers, beliefs, behaviours, values, proof points, conduct interviews with university leadership/deans to uncover and explore “big ideas” and themes that have greatest potential to resonate with top donors, conduct stakeholder interviews with state development leadership and
gift officers to determine baseline understanding of campaign and university brand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges as well as to gain perspective from frontline gift officers on the tools and resources required to meet goals, develop campaign message platform that aligns university/presidential communications and development campaigns, identify target donor segments and develop audience personas, identify best channels/means for communicating with these donors/prospects and provide strategic direction for creative execution.
- Creative Strategy and Execution to design and develop overarching campaign branding, storytelling strategy and collateral template for CSUs, major gift officers, communications team, design and develop branding and storytelling strategy/template for each of the campaign focus areas student support, faculty support, health care and vibrant state and develop digital strategy for campaign collateral – social, email, web.
- Brand Planning to provide university with existing data review, primary research and analysis; interview guide development for individual stakeholder interviews with internal and external stakeholders; conduct interviews including stakeholder, focus group and survey interviews, identify target donor segments and development of audience personas.
