[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide third party general liability claims administration services for professional property and causality insurance brokering services, loss control, claims servicing, and administration in a municipal government setting.
- The city seeks to contract with one provider for claims administration services that can deliver outstanding customer service and provide a high quality, comprehensive program including the investigation, adjustment, processing, supervision and resolution of claims asserted by third parties against the city, its officers, agents and employees
- The third-party administrator shall have personnel with specialized skills and certifications required to effectively and efficiently handle general liability claims caseloads
- The city is looking for a third-party administration partnership to provide liability claims administration services in support of improving claims handling and management, increasing program efficiencies, reducing litigation, improving internal controls, increasing fiscal transparency, reducing program liabilities and costs, and establishing sound fiduciary responsibilities and controls
- Claims Administration from claim inception to disposition
- Liability and claims investigations
- Negotiation of claim settlements
- Assumption of the handling of existing open claims
- Review of all relevant law firm invoices
- Reporting to the city excess general liability carrier
- Provide 24-hour on-call service
- this can be accomplished by providing the city with a 24-hour phone number, pager, beeper or telephone number for key personnel
- The 24-hour on-call service may include, but not be limited to, responding to an incident scene, attending meetings, and conducting investigations
- Claims Administration:
- Review all new claims for liability and provide an assessment of liability to the city no later than 15 days from receipt of loss notice from the city
- Process all claims in accordance with the city instructions and policies
- Provide narrative reports to the city when recommending disposition of a claim, when a claim goes to trial, or any other significant events that have or will occur
- Telephone calls from the city staff, claimants or claimant’s attorneys shall be returned within 24 hours
(2) All question must be submitted no later than February 7, 2020.

Performance of the work will be offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
