[B] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide transit fare collection system for both conventional and specialized transit.
- The solution will provide supply, deliver, and install an automated fare collection system with a solution that securely captures case revenues for the entire transit fleet.
- Install a transit fare collection system that will eventually be used to transition from the existing fare collection system towards the implementation of an automated fare collection system that collects, validates, and provides a solution for processing fare collection securely. Initially, the system must function to allow the current fare media to be accepted including the collection of cash and accepting single, multiple, monthly passes and transfers using a visual inspection by the operator. Eventually, the system will transition to an electronic or QR code or “tap card” system using smart cards or mobile payments. This would include multi-ride tickets that are electronically processed using QR codes or barcodes or other methods. A mobile payment system would be preferable. This must also include specifics on a POS system.
