[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide data rewiring services to the government authority located in Syracuse, NY.
- Addressing the need for upgrading and reorganizing the data wiring in our Branch Libraries to improve maintenance, security, and accessibility of the network infrastructure in the libraries
- All new wiring will be Cat6 and the color green to make it identifiable in the ceiling and enclosed areas. Jacks and patch panels will be the same corresponding color. All new patch panels will be color coded and positioned in the equipment racks to accommodate distributed ethernet switches and one foot patch cords to reorganize equipment rack wiring. The new patch panels are to accommodate a minimum of twenty percent spare ports for future changes to the cable infrastructure
- All Cat6 jack modules will be color coded in yellow. Faceplates at all locations to be Ivory in color
- All new wiring is to be concealed in open public areas. Ivory color Panduit Molding and/or EMT metal conduit is to be used wherever possible. The top of library bookshelves will still be used and exposed, but only when the wiring is not exposed to people standing on the floor. The cable on the bookshelves will be secured for organization purposes
- In open areas of the library where the new cat6 cable will be routed through the floor, new metal surface mount floor boxes are to be installed. All metal communication boxes will be mounted to the concrete floor.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than May 25, 2022.
