[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide health care services for Korean-speaking clients to the government authority located in Maryland.
- Furnish in-home health care services to eligible Korean-speaking program clients (the “Client”), including Registered Nurse (RN) assessments, homemaker (chore), and personal care services.
- Services to Clients may require long-term or short-term interventions in order to prevent premature institutionalization of the Client.
- The approved amount of service hours per Client averages 4 hours per week, with most Clients preferring the service schedule of 2 hours, 2 times weekly. The Contractor shall provide staff for a minimum of 2 hours per Client, per week.
- The County does not pay for mileage or travel time. The hourly rate bid shall be based on the estimated time in the Client’s home.
- Clients are approved for a designated number of hours weekly; maximum of four hours.
- Provide service to Clients residing throughout the County. The Contractor shall be mindful of the time and distance required to provide services and assign staff accordingly.
- Provide an initial RN assessment for all Clients that includes information about Client’s medical conditions, medications, care needs, and establishes a care plan for the In-Home Aide to follow.
- Provide ongoing nursing supervision for the In-Home Aide. The RN must supervise the In-Home Aide and reassess the Client on a quarterly or as-needed basis if the Client’s situation warrants more observation.
(2) A pre-bid conference will be held on March 20, 2023.
(3) The contract period will be for one year.
