Vendor needs to provide temporary assistance for needy families summer youth employment program work readiness program to the government authority located in Goshen, NY.
- to introduce youth into the workforce and help them acquire transferable skills applicable to entry level jobs, improve school performance and become responsible adults. Since many low-income youths face the prospect of a challenging transition to work or college, constructive workforce experiences can provide great benefits. In addition to the income it provides, experience in the workforce and interaction with working adults can help youth recognize the importance of educational achievement and expand their education and career goals,
- Support youth with exceptional barriers to employment to achieve success with summer youth employment;
- Provide youth with a supportive, first-time work experience;
- Train youth in skills that are currently needed in the labor market;
- Experience workplace norms and culture, and develop workplace etiquette;
- Expose youth to careers, employers, and the world of work;
- Increase financial literacy and learn how to manage money;
- Develop/strengthen skills, including communication, critical thinking, decision making;
- Build a professional network and link to area employers who have career pathways in local industries;
- Re-engage youth in secondary or postsecondary education;
- Reinforce the relationship between educational attainment, relevant experience,
