Vendor needs to provide flood insurance market research and outreach service.
- Develop and implement an outreach strategy based on the research findings tailored.
- Ensuring residents are accurately informed about their level of flood risk and the availability of risk mitigation measures, especially flood insurance, is one of the best ways to reduce risks and facilitate recovery if flood impacts and damages are experienced. However, effective outreach and education are challenging to develop and sustain as each community has different risks, demographics and needs
- Create community outreach strategy and content
- Identify, customize, and develop an equitable and accessible outreach strategy and targeted content package to reach consumers in a targeted manner, and establish appropriate evaluation metrics.
- Strategy’s primary focus should be on increasing flood insurance coverage, with a secondary focus on other flood risk-reduction measures
- Create a community outreach strategy
- Outreach Strategy should outline how the Targeted Content Package will be developed, targeted, and delivered in a manner addressing information barriers and maximizing the number of residents reached within communities and demographics
- Outreach Strategy should include an estimated timeline to conduct engagement activities
- Content should be in plain language (avoiding jargon or unnecessary technical terms).
- Content should be suitable for both traditional and digital media outlets and will ideally be repeatable and reusable through a variety of information-sharing platforms.
